Plymouth man arrested, two injured, after multi-vehicle highway crash
A highway crash this weekend led to multiple injuries and an arrest.
According to Chief Michael Carbone, at approximately 7:30 p.m. on Saturday, Duxbury Police and Fire were dispatched to a two-car crash at the intersection of Route 53 and Franklin Street.
Due to the severity of the crash, both operators of the vehicles were transported to BID-Plymouth with apparent minor injuries.
A passenger from one of the vehicles, 29-year-old Aaron Swift of Plymouth, was found to have an active arrest warrant out of Falmouth District Court for multiple firearms charges.
Swift was treated for a medical condition at the BID-Plymouth but was transferred to a Boston hospital for additional care.
Due to bail being set at $25,000, DPD officers are working in shifts guarding Swift until he is released from the hospital on bail or taken into custody by the courts.
