Plymouth County native killed in motorcycle crash remembered for living life to the beat of his own drum
The rider of a motorcycle who succumbed to his injuries at an area hospital following a collision with a SUV Monday morning is being remembered.
According to Norfolk District Attorney Michael Morrissey and Walpole Police Chief Richard Kelleher, the crash occurred at approximately 6:45 a.m. in the area of East Street and Tanglewood Road in Walpole.
The driver of the motorcycle, 25-year-old Spencer Reid of Franklin, was transported by a Walpole Fire Department ambulance to an area hospital where he was pronounced deceased, according to District Attorney Morrissey.
No charges were immediately filed.
According to an obituary, Reid was born in Brockton. “Working as a Welder Mechanic at CertainTeed/Teamsters Local Union 25, he showcased his skills on the job and was passionate about the trade. He enjoyed riding his motorcycle, going camping, living life to the beat of his own drum, and had a strong circle of friends that he cared deeply for.”
Visitation will be held at the Farley Funeral Home, 358 Park Street (Rt. 27), Stoughton on Thursday July 31st from 4-7 p.m., with Family Reflections at 7 p.m.
The crash is under investigation by the Norfolk District Attorney’s Office, Walpole and Mansfield Police accident reconstruction experts, and Walpole Police detectives.
