Pedestrian seriously injured in Saturday evening crash in Raynham
RAYNHAM — Police Chief James Donovan and Fire Chief Bryan LaCivita report that the Raynham Police and Fire Departments responded after a pedestrian was struck by a vehicle Saturday evening.
Just after 9 p.m. on Saturday, July 18, both departments responded to the area of Route 138 in front of Extra Space Storage for a report of a pedestrian that was struck. Upon arrival, officers determined that the female victim, a 28-year-old Raynham resident, was struck by a blue Honda Civic driven by a 19-year-old Freetown woman.
The victim was transported to a Boston hospital by ambulance for injuries that are considered serious but not life threatening.
The driver was not injured.
Officers remained on scene after the victim was brought to the hospital to investigate. The incident is under investigation by the Raynham Police Department.
