Parts of Route 24, 79 in Fall River to close for a short time next week
Parts of a Fall River highway will be closed for a short time next week.
According to MassDOT, Route 24 North and South and Route 79 North near Exit 8A will have a temporary overnight closure on Tuesday, February 5th, between 1:00 a.m. & 2:00 a.m., for approximately 20 minutes. The highway closures are needed to permanently relocate utility lines over Route 24 at the Airport Road overpass due to utility work.
Those traveling through the area should expect delays, reduce speed, and use caution.
The work is weather dependent and subject to change without notice.
