Parts of Massachusetts, Rhode Island, Connecticut to see up to 5 inches of rain
A wet stretch is ahead for most of Massachusetts, Rhode Island and Connecticut.
According to the National Weather Service, rainy conditions develop Thursday night, tapering off to drizzle or intermittent light rain and onshore flow overnight.
Cooler than normal temps on Friday with best chances for steady rain in Rhode Island and eastern Massachusetts.
Rain showers will continue particularly across southeastern Massachusetts on Friday.
This weekend will feature cool, cloudy, and periodically wet conditions with more widespread rainfall.
In total, parts of southern New England could see as much as 5 inches of rain during this stretch.
