Marine crew locates unresponsive female in the water on Cape Cod
A woman was found unresponsive in Cape Cod waters on Thursday.
According to the department, at just before 12:30 p.m., the Centerville-Osterville-Marstons Mills Fire Department received a report from a boater in the area of Seapuit Road in Osterville of what appeared to be a body floating in the water.
Marine 1 was launched, and fire department personnel responded to the area. Upon arrival, the marine crew located an unresponsive female in the water with no pulse. The patient was immediately brought aboard Marine 1, and CPR was initiated.
The patient was subsequently transferred from the marine vessel to a waiting ambulance and transported to Cape Cod Hospital.
The Barnstable Police Department and the Barnstable Harbormaster assisted at the scene. The U.S. Coast Guard was also notified.
The incident remains under investigation, and no further information regarding the patient is available at this time.
