UPDATE: Pacha, ill dog left abandoned in Fall River, enjoying his new forever home
A dog that has captured the hearts of many has found his forever home!
Pacha was abandoned at Dave’s Beach in Fall River and left there on the rocks to fend for himself. Fall River Animal Control came to his aid and Forever Paws was in the process of finding him a new home.
We had posted the conditions on his adoption and Forever Paws was flooded with applications.
Good news was delivered by Forever Paws over the weekend.
“We are ecstatic to share this news with you: Pacha will be going to his forever home this Wednesday!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Thank You to all of you who shared his story, donated, sent in cards, and the food and presents that was brought in. We are beyond grateful, and it is because of you, our Forever Paws Family, that Pacha will get his new leash on life.”
Today, Pacha went to his new home in Attleboro.

The Allens thought they didn’t have a chance in adopting Pacha as they applied later in the process, but they couldn’t be happier.
“It’s like I won the lottery. It sounds silly, but I was totally shocked and excited” said Mrs. Allen.
The Allens have a history of taking in animals who need a home. Mr. Allen stated he couldn’t understand how someone could leave an animal like that.
Mr. Allen stated that Pacha was “so gentle.”
Forever Paws stated that Pacha has been doing great despite being diagnosed with congestive heart failure that cannot be cured.
It was clear that the Forever Paws staff will miss Pacha, who is now named Giovanni Cannoli, but are thrilled that he has found a good home.
Thanks to Dussault & Zatir, PC for making our shelter visits possible!
Many have said that they would like to keep up to date on Pacha (now Giovanni Cannoli). The family has created an Instagram page. To follow, click here.

I’m so happy for this dog. God bless all involved. I wish that all owners of animals that are unwanted would just be leave them with people who care and will find them forever homes. All animals have feelings.

Thank you for taking Giovanni Cannoli . You are very kind and he is one lucky dog to have your love. We have a dog named Cannoli as well. Bless you!
