On Monday, October 18th from 10am-2pm, Viva Fall River will host an outdoor job fair along South Main Street in Downtown Fall River on Monday, October 18th from 10am – 2pm. Multiple businesses will open their doors and host tables on the sidewalks along South Main Street to answer questions and accept applications for immediately open positions. Participating businesses currently include Rob Roy Academy, TJ’s Music, J Peauty Spa, and Fall River Pawnbrokers, but more are expected to officially sign on in the coming days.

A full list of participating businesses will be available on the Facebook event page, or at www.vivafallriver.com.

“Viva Fall River works diligently on initiatives that spur revitalization efforts in Fall River, with a particular focus on the Downtown District,” says Patti Rego, District Director of Viva Fall River. “The widespread challenge of staffing is an obstacle to the business community’s success and we have created this job fair opportunity to meet the critical need that these Downtown businesses share.”

Jobseekers who apply at 3 or more participating businesses during the event will be entered to win a $100 Amazon Gift Card. In addition, attendees will have access to employment and education resources from SER-Jobs for Progress’ Youth Education for Employment Program (YEEP) and Entrepreneurship for All (EforAll) South Coast at the Viva Fall River pop-up, located at 333 So. Main Street, at the corner of Columbia St.

Downtown businesses who would like to participate should email vivafallriver@onesouthcoast.com. Jobseekers can find more information at https://www.facebook.com/events/825054994825896
