One dead, another injured, in fatal two-vehicle crash in Lakeville
LAKEVILLE — Chief Matthew Perkins reports that the Lakeville Police Department responded to a fatal motor vehicle crash on Saturday morning.
According to police, at approximately 6:37 a.m., Lakeville Police and Fire responded to a report of a two-vehicle crash at the intersection of Main Street and Bridge Street.
Two individuals involved in the crash were transported by ambulance to area hospitals. One of those individuals was later pronounced deceased.
Main Street was closed at the intersection for about four hours during the preliminary investigation.
The names of the victims have yet to be released.
The crash remains under investigation by Lakeville Police, the Massachusetts State Police Collision Analysis and Reconstruction Section and the Plymouth County District Attorney’s Office.
