The Mazda VST operator was transported to UMass Memorial Hospital-Lakeside where he succumbed to his injuries. The three passengers in the vehicle were also transported to UMass Memorial-Lakeside with minor injuries. The Mazda CX5 operator was transported to Saint Vincent Hospital. The Jeep Operator was uninjured.
The right and middle lane were closed for approximately three hours.
The crash remains under investigation by Troop C of the Massachusetts State Police with assistance from the State Police Collision Analysis and Reconstruction Section and State Police Crime Scene Services Section.
