Over two dozen cats were recently removed from a residence and now officials are looking to get them adopted.

According to police, late last month, Coventry Police and Animal Control Officers along with the assistance of the RI SPCA and West Greenwich Animal Control Officers executed a search warrant at a Coventry home.

Twenty-nine cats were removed from the property all of which were suffering from an upper respiratory infection.

The cats were seen by a veterinarian and are now in the care of Coventry Animal Control where they are being treated for their illness. All of the cats have been vaccinated, fixed, and are now ready for adoption.

Animal Control Officers are asking the public’s help to find each of them a good home.

Coventry Animal Control is located at 1666 Flat River Rd. – (401) 822-9106 and can be reached from 9 am – 3 pm daily.
