It’s school vacation week and the Fall River Library has a full slate of programs for kids of all ages—and adults, too! Here’s what’s going on at the library this week.

Take-home Children’s Craft: This week’s take-home craft is a floating beaver craft. Kids will have a blast assembling this cute animal craft that doubles as a bath toy—it really floats! Pick one up in the Children’s Room all week or while supplies last.

Blackout Poetry: Stop by the library anytime this month to create your own blackout poem for National Poetry Month. Blackout Poetry takes an existing text and blacks out words with a marker to create a poem from the words that are left. We invite adults, teens, and tweens to create unique poems, post them on Instagram using the hashtag #FRPLblackoutpoetry, and tag #fallriverpubliclibrary.

Preschool Storytime: Tuesday, April 18 at 11 am: children and families are invited to join for stories, activities, and a craft.

I am Autistic, I am Fantastic: the Musical: Tuesday, April 18 at 12 pm for a lively performance celebrating the creativity of kids on the autism spectrum. Sponsored by a grant from the Fall River Cultural Council, a local agency which is supported by the Mass Cultural Council, a state agency.

Registration is required for this event as space is limited. Teams can sign up in the Children’s Room beginning Monday, April 10th or by calling 508-324-2700, ext. 4.

For the rest of the week, the catalog and other online services will be available, but patrons will not receive electronic notices about holds or overdues.
