Newest $5 million Massachusetts instant game winner already has spending plans
What would you do with your winnings if you hit $5 million on a Massachusetts scratch ticket? A Massachusetts man recently got to find out.
Joseph Tibbetts of East Bridgewater has won a $5 million prize in the Massachusetts State Lottery’s “$5,000,000 100X Cashword” instant ticket game.
Tibbetts chose the cash option on his prize and received a one-time payment of $3,250,000 (before taxes). He plans on using a portion of his winnings to buy a house.
His winning ticket was purchased at Hi Lo Gas Route 18 located at 475 North Bedford St. in East Bridgewater. The store will receive a $50,000 bonus for its sale of this ticket.
