New restaurant promoting authentic Mexican food headed to Somerset
A new Mexican restaurant is headed to the South Coast.
Baja’s Restaurant is headed to 899 G.A.R. Highway (Route 6) in Somerset, the former Trump Store location.
Baja’s specializes in authentic Mexican food including tacos, burritos, enchiladas, chimichangas, and quesadillas. They also feature chicken wings, desserts, subs, salads, and wraps.
The restaurant chain currently has 15 locations in Massachusetts, Rhode Island, and Connecticut.
You can take your food to go or dine in inside (outside at some locations when the weather permits).
The Somerset location is currently looking for cooks, line prep, cashiers, and dishwashers.
The eatery would not reveal when the new spot is expected to open.

Hopefully it’s better than most of the standard Tex Mex in the area. If you want to send it you need to go out west!
