New restaurant having opening today in Westport
A mother and daughter team has opened a new eatery and despite the great looking cakes, it will have much more than that to offer customers.
Lexi-Lu’s Place opens today in Westport.
Lucy and her daughter Alexi Resendes are the owners of the restaurant that is located at the former Chef Jeff’s location at 1133 American Legion Highway. Lexi- Lu’s Place will serve breakfast, lunch, and treats.
What treats you may ask?
The Resendes team is known for their business Lucy’s Sweet Treats and Catering Service. Lucy’s Sweet Treats specialized in sweets, cakes, and deserts and they will be bringing those deserts to Lexi-Lu’s Place.
Lucy Resendes gave Fall River Reporter an idea of what kind of dishes will be served at Lexi-Lu’s Place.
“Its going to be a full breakfast and lunch menu. We will be serving some Portuguese dishes. Breakfast will include our own special recipe pancakes, crepes, French toast and so much more. Our lunch menu will have a little bit of everything from sandwiches, burgers, homemade dishes, and fresh soups. Everyday we will have a “dish of the day” special. We are hoping to incorporate our Portuguese background in some of our dishes.”
Hours are Tuesday to Saturday from 6:30 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. and Sunday 6:30 a.m. to noon.
Lexi-Lu’s Place is also looking to hire a dishwasher for Tuesday-Thursday for 15-20 hours a week.

Chef Jeff’s was a great pit stop, and so was Karen Anne’s before it.
Lots of friends enjoying great dishes over typical local conversation.
