New pizza place taking over Portuguese restaurant in Fall River
A new pizza place is coming soon in Fall River that will replace a city restaurant.
Churrascaria Aveirense Restaurant serves Portuguese cuisine and opened in the summer of 2018, but it will now become the home of Sam’s Pizza.
The new pizzeria at 144 Rodman Street was expected to be purchased today by owner/operator Dawad Youssef and will seat approximately 40 patrons.
The location will feature pizza, subs, and salads with no major changes being done to the building.
Hours of operation will be Monday through Saturday, 10:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. and closed on Sundays.
Youssef went in front of the Fall River Licensing Board Wednesday and was granted a Common Victualler License needed to operate the eatery pending a positive police report.
Sam’s is expected to open immediately following the approval.
Churrascaria Aveirense Restaurant still has a location in New Bedford.
