New Jersey earthquake felt in Connecticut, Rhode Island, Massachusetts
Did you feel it? Some in southeastern Massachusetts did as an earthquake was registered a few states away.
According to the United States Geological Survey National Earthquake Information Center, a 4.7 magnitude tremor was recorded at 10:23 a.m. 7 kilometers North Northeast of Whitehouse Station, New Jersey.
Residents as far as northern Massachusetts report that they could feel shaking.
The earthquake measured 5.0 km deep.
No word on any damage due to the tremor.
