Credit where credit is due. This is a start. Now what will the judges D/As and legal system do? It’s a cycle and it’s not turning out well.

Most of these children have been failed by the system. Please don’t put a bad mark on their record. Instead, let’s work to get these children the resources they need to succeed.

Take it from me. A 39 yr old convicted felon that has served 11yrs 5momths in federal prison. These kids lives are OVER. Believe it or not there is NO rehabilitation whatsoever in prison. Matter of fact the only thing I received in prison was a habbit using opiates. Yes you heard correctly I have never used an illicit substance until I was shipped to USP Lewisburg at the age of 20 1/2yrs old.. I learned how to do crime better.. I learned how to stick a needle in my arm, I learned how to push a knife into a man and how to make a deadly knife in one of the highest security prisons the United States has to offer… pray for these kids.. there just children.. teach them don’t take there lives away

Barrack there are resources available , these kids were failed by their parental units first and next the system , they are the next gen gangbangers because they are going to take the fall for the older more experienced losers right now , they will become jaded from prison life, reenter society angrier and more violent …if we can put an animal down we need to go back to putting the criminals down .period , show our hand and get the message across .

Lock them up. These people don’t want jobs, they don’t want to be members of a civil society. They refuse assimilate. 10 years each. Let them earn GED’s/ degrees in prison. And hopefully they come out a tad more mature.

Buttercups is right. I was one of those kids in the late 80s in Boston. I ended up in the military, returned home and ended up in my old ways. Did 5, 4, 3 and then 18 months on trial facing 3 life sentences. I prayed and hard. Then God took control. 17 years later, I’m a new home owner, married for 6 wonderful years and custody of my daughter from a previous relationship, now an honor student.
Until they realize that their on the wrong path and want to change, they will be forever lost. Like Rc said…. someone who cares needs to step up and step in.

These children are victims of systemic racism. Fall River has a long history of being a racist city. If you look at the demographics, our municipal offices, police, fire, and school departments are not inclusive or diverse.
When children don’t have role models that look like they do, it can be very damaging, and these things happen. Plus, when cis-gendered whites commit crimes, it’s usually underreported.
It is time for us to start distributing resources to help our marginalized populations (POC, LGBTQ+) and especially newly arrived Americans.

Another one that doesn’t know what they are talking about. Get your head out your ass and take a deep breath of reality. Stop believing everything you hear or see on TV.

Nasty, inbred, low IQ Hoodrats unless they get locked up for 30 years (and they will not) they will just keep assaulting society in ever increasing dangerous ways
