New England Patriots playground in Fall River ready for ribbon cutting festivities
The New England Patriots playground has been installed with the help of volunteers and the city of Fall River is getting ready to celebrate.
As we have mentioned in previous articles, the New England Patriots Foundation, Robert Kraft, and the City of Fall River have combined to have a Patriots playground installed at Maplewood Park. A playground that has been wanted and needed if you talk to neighborhood residents.
The Kraft family and Patriots Foundation donated $150,000 in specially designed Patriots-themed playground equipment.
As in previously installed Patriots playgrounds in places such as Taunton and Brockton, there are separate sections for different age groups with Patriots colors and logos displayed throughout.
According to Special Assistant to the Mayor Monica Sousa, there will be a ribbon cutting for the playground on September 11th at 2:00 p.m.
According to The New England Patriots Foundation, Patriots and Pro Football Hall of Famer Andre Tippett along with current and former Patriots players are expected to attend. A Patriots cheerleader, Pat Patriot, and other Patriots representatives are also expected at the ribbon cutting. Local elementary school children will also be in attendance and will have an opportunity to test out the new play space.
The New England Patriots Foundation is a 501(c)(3) non-profit entity created by Robert Kraft to support charitable and philanthropic agencies throughout New England. The Foundation’s primary goal is to support programs that aid the youth and families of New England while underscoring the Kraft family’s deep commitment to philanthropic activities in the community. The Foundation actively supports non-profit groups focusing on health, education, youth fitness and community enrichment while also implementing its own programs in those areas of focus.
