The Office of Mayor Paul Coogan and The Fall River Redevelopment Authority are pleased to announce the Grand Opening of the new docks at Senator Thomas Norton City Pier with a Ribbon Cutting at noon followed by Rock the Dock: A Grand Opening Concert. The docks were funded in part by a generous grant from the Seaport Economic Council and an earmark facilitated by Representative Carole Fiola and our legislative delegation. The docks will be open from sunrise to sunset for daytime dockage through the boating season.

This event will be held Saturday, June 1st from 12:00 P.M. – 3:00 P.M. on Norton City Pier, 600 Davol Street, Fall River. The rain date will be Saturday, June 8th.

“This is a great day for Fall River! The Senator Thomas Norton City Pier is the lynchpin for the City’s economy and a social hub for the community – and the opening of these new docks take that to the next level. On behalf of the entire Healey-Driscoll administration, we congratulate Mayor Paul Coogan, the Legislative delegation and the entire City on this exciting occasion and wish them the best for the Grand Opening Concert,” says Massachusetts Governor Maura Healey.

Rock The Dock is a free event open to the public featuring live entertainment from The Peacheaters: An Allman Brothers Band Experience, food trucks, and a beer garden provided by Canned Heat and Party with Primo.
