If everything goes well, Fall River will have a new gas station and convenience store by the end of the year.

In the summer of 2021 Family Foods Grocery Outlet at 323 William S. Canning Boulevard closed and was later purchased by the Procaccianti Group.

The group has begun demolishing the current building and will construct a Neon Gas Station & Convenience Store in its place.

According to Ralph Izzi Jr., Vice President Corporate Marketing & Public Affairs at Procaccianti Companies, anticipated completion of the new Neon Marketplace in Fall River is late 2023.

In October of last year, a 24-hour Neon Marketplace opened at 33-36 Innovation Way in Freetown near the Fall River line.

Neon offers a full array of dining options, including Neon’s signature artisan, hand-pressed pizzas.

Customers can order a variety of set toppings or completely customize their pies for a fast, hot, pizza experience to enjoy in Neon’s café or to take on the road. Each pizza feeds three-to-four people.

In addition to its signature pizzas, Neon offers a variety of made-to-order and grab-and-go options, including hand-made grinders and sandwiches; salads; snacks; fountain and cooler drinks; as well as delivery and catering services for any size group and for any occasion.

You can also charge your Tesla.

Neon Marketplace also has locations in Warwick and Providence, Rhode Island and Seekonk, Massachusetts and express locations without chargers in Middletown and Portsmouth, Rhode Island.

I wonder if they still charge tax on packaged food and beverage. A while back in Seekonk I tried to purchase energy drinks at a twofer price. Clerk rang it up and the price didn’t look right and I question it then I noticed they were charging me taxes. In Massachusetts they can only charge you taxes on food or beverage if it comes packaged or it’s freshly made. Packaged food and beverages in Massachusetts is non-taxable. Nobody there seems to know the law and even the manager started arguing with me about it At that point I said screw you and left. I did put in a complaint with the attorney general’s office but and tried to contact their corporate offices but that was another joke via Facebook in Twitter. If you like rude customer service that’s the place to go! Oh and PS if you have a newer vehicle with direct injection their garbage gas isn’t Top Tier gasoline required by newer cars. I’m not talking about high test I’m talking about top tier which has required detergents. https://www.toptiergas.com/
