The New Bedford Symphony Orchestra has announced a summer long celebration of music in the cities of New Bedford and Fall River. The Music in the City series will feature quintet, trio, duo and solo performances by NBSO musicians in several locations throughout both cities. All concerts are free.

“Our musicians are going to be showing up at some unexpected places this summer,” NBSO President and CEO Dave Prentiss stated. “You might be walking by a library, a playground, or somewhere downtown and be pleasantly surprised by what you hear.”

On July 26 and August 7, The NBSO Brass Quintet, comprised of the leading members of the New Bedford Symphony brass section, presents a fun and informal concert of jazz standards, popular tunes, and marches at the Fall River City Hall at 12:00 – 1:00 p.m.
