The power outage that was scheduled to take place earlier this month has been rescheduled.
According to a statement by National Grid, to make improvements to the electrical distribution system, they will be working on Wednesday March 11th beginning at 10:00PM until approximately 8:00AM where the power will be shut off. The streets affected by this planned outage in the town of Fall River will include: Pine St, Purchase St, Rock St, High St, Cherry St, Franklin St, Granite St, Bank St, and Third St .
This work will be rescheduled in the event of inclement or extreme weather (above 90 degrees or below 20 degrees) or unexpected events. In the event that National Grid must reschedule, the work will be performed on Thursday March 12th beginning at 10:00PM until approximately 8:00AM.
National Grid states that the electrical distribution system is in need of repairs and there is a risk that the area will experience an unplanned outage if the work is not performed. The outage cannot be postponed.
Not all residents on the listed streets will be affected.
