Name released in fatal motorcycle crash in Acushnet
A man was killed on Saturday after crashing his motorcycle in Acushnet.
The crash took place just after 4:30 p.m. near the intersection of Michael Way and Wing Lane.
The driver reportedly hit several objects before crashing.
According to Gregg Miliote of the Bristol County District Attorney’s Office, Matthew Souza, 33, of Fairhaven was the rider killed in the crash.
No other vehicles were involved.
He was pronounced deceased at St. Luke’s Hospital a few hours after the crash.
