Name released concerning body discovered in Taunton River after bridge jump
A man’s body has been recovered Friday after jumping from the Braga Bridge.
At approximately 5:15 p.m. on Tuesday, a call came into Fall River Police for an abandoned car on I-195 West and a male seen by witnesses with one leg over the railing before jumping.
According to Gregg Miliote of the Bristol County District Attorney’s Office, the deceased individual, who was discovered last night in the Taunton River and transported to the Heritage State Park boat ramp in Fall River, has been identified as the person who jumped from the Braga Bridge earlier this week.

The deceased has been positively identified as Samuel Weber, 34, of East Providence, RI.
Foul play is not suspected.
