The murder trial of a New Bedford man accused of killing a Fall River man is set to begin Monday in Fall River Superior court.

A then 23-year-old Nathan Silva is accused of stabbing to death 25-year-old Jorge Vieira.

Just before 7:30 a.m., on Saturday January 11, 2020, Fall River Police responded to a 911 call regarding a stabbing in the parking lot of Bay Village Apartments at 2000 Bay Street.

Upon arrival, first responders located the male victim in the parking lot, rendered aid,​ and rushed him to St. Anne’s Hospital in Fall River.

​The victim, who was identified as Vieira, was then transferred to Rhode Island Hospital where he died later in the day.

Silva and Vieira had reportedly been exchanging text messages before an altercation took place between the two men.

Silva was later arrested without incident at the Motel 6 in Seekonk.

A second defendant, Jessica Brophy, of Fall River, was also arrested and charged with Accessory to Murder-After the Fact after being accused of withholding what she knew and cleaning up after Vieira’s death.

    Really let me give her 6 inches at motel 6 with a 3 inch thick rod fukkimg losers they deserve death penalty i use to be a scrapper on the streets amd my mom always said those kids you fkk up have family and moms i feel bad for this kid hes got family and a mom hope justice gets served god dont sleep jessica horrrrre scary vaginnna
