Multiple Plymouth County search warrants results in arrest, seizure of Fentanyl, Cocaine, gun, over $60,000
One man is under arrest and will be arraigned and charged with allegedly trafficking Fentanyl and Cocaine, Plymouth County District Attorney Timothy J. Cruz announced Friday.
During the month of January through March 2023, members of Massachusetts State Police Detective Unit assigned to the Plymouth County District Attorney’s Office with the assistance of Brockton Police Narcotics Detectives, Bridgewater Police, CINRET South, and the MSP Gang Unit conducted an investigation into narcotics distribution occurring within Plymouth County.
As part of the investigation, detectives were able to identify 27-year-old Lue Andrade of Bridgewater as an individual distributing Fentanyl to customers.
As a result of the investigation, Thursday, the Plymouth County SPDU sought and received a search warrant out of Brockton District Court for addresses on Vernon Street in Bridgewater and Forest Avenue in Brockton. Additionally, they sought and received a search warrant for a silver BMW SUV.
Friday morning at approximately 9:30 a.m., detectives executed the search warrant on Vernon Street in Bridgewater. There, police located a Glock 19 firearm, cash, three phones and Andrade’s passport. Andrade was located at this address and was placed under arrest without incident.
Simultaneously, investigators executed the search warrant on Forest Avenue in Brockton. At that location, they found a bag with a white powdery substance, five bags of a white powdery and hard rock substance, five scales, and cutting agents. Investigators seized a black backpack at the residence that contained suspected narcotics stored in plastic baggies. The apartment was unoccupied.
In total, the weight of suspected Fentanyl seized was approximately 90 grams, and the total amount of suspected Cocaine confiscated was approximately 407 grams. The total amount of cash taken from the two addresses was over $60,000.
Andrade is expected to be arraigned in Brockton District Court on Monday on one count each of Trafficking of a Class A Substance, Fentanyl, Trafficking of a Class B Substance, Cocaine, Possession of a Firearm with no FID Card, Possession of Ammunition, with no FID Card, Possession of a Large Capacity Feeding Device, and Improper Storage of a Firearm.
The drugs were seized and transported to the State Police Crime Lab where they will be tested for analysis. The investigation remains active and ongoing by Massachusetts State Police Detectives assigned to the Plymouth County District Attorney’s Office, Massachusetts. State Police CINRET, Bridgewater Police, and Brockton Police.
