Multiple people, including firefighter, shot with pellets in Fall River near shooting scene, two charged

Two people have been charged after reportedly hitting multiple people, including a firefighter, with BB pellets.

According to Deputy Chief Barden Castro, members of the fire department were on Fourth Street this evening providing assistance to the police department relative to the shooting which had taken place earlier in the day.

A firefighter was suddenly struck by a BB in his right arm, as a result, the firefighter was transported to the hospital to have the BB removed.

Within moments, two additional people were struck by BBs. One who was walking down the street and another who was sitting on a porch. It was also determined that a motor vehicle had been damaged by a BB shot.

Sgt Michael Hadaya, Ofc Peter DaLuz, and other officers on scene were able to determine that the shots were coming from a second-floor residence in the 400 block of Second Street.

As a result of the investigation, officers were able to locate two juvenile males along with a BB rifle.

Both juveniles will be appearing in juvenile court for various charges.

According to a source, the firefighter is in good condition at St Anne’s Hospital where personnel are trying to remove a BB that is lodged in his shoulder.
