Multiple Massachusetts police departments charge three after over 760 pounds of marijuana, $468,000 cash seized

RANDOLPH — Chief Anthony Marag reports that, as a result of a months-long Randolph Police Drug Control Unit investigation, two individuals were arrested on charges of Trafficking Marijuana, and a third will be summonsed.

37-year-old Mukunda Znajmiecka was arrested and is charged by Braintree Police with Trafficking Marijuana Over 100 Pounds
Possession of a Class C Substance (Psilocybin Mushrooms)
Possession of a Class E Substance (Steroids)
Conspiracy to Violate Drug Laws

25-year-old Clifford Saint-Jean was arrested and is charged by Braintree Police with Trafficking Marijuana Over 100 Pounds, and Conspiracy to Violate Drug Laws.

A third individual, a 34-year-old man was issued a summons to appear in court on a charge of Conspiracy to Violate Drug Laws. Because he is being summonsed, his identity is not able to be publicly released prior to arraignment.

On Thursday, Jan. 11, law enforcement partners involved in the ongoing investigation executed multiple search warrants in Randolph and Braintree. The investigation began after the Randolph Police Drug Control Unit received information regarding the distribution of narcotics occurring from a Randolph residence. The investigation then led detectives to additional locations in Braintree.

As a result of the search warrants, officers recovered approximately 763 pounds of marijuana with an estimated street value of $1.5 million, numerous boxes of THC candy, numerous jars of THC Oil and $468,713 in cash. Znajmiecka and Saint-Jean were both arrested on Jan. 11 in Braintree.

The Randolph Police Drug Control Unit was assisted by the Randolph Police Street Crimes Unit, Braintree Police Department, Massachusetts State Police Norfolk CPAC, Massachusetts State Police CINRET South and the DEA Boston Task Force 5.

“This significant drug seizure is an excellent example of the multi-agency collaboration that helps to make our communities safer,” Chief Marag said. “I would like to commend the members of the Randolph Police Drug Control Unit and thank our law enforcement partners for their work conducting this thorough and expansive investigation.”

Znajmiecka and Saint-Jean were arraigned in Quincy District Court on Jan. 12. Znajmiecka entered a plea of not guilty at his arraignment and was ordered held on $50,000 cash bail. He is due back on Feb. 14 in Quincy District Court for a pre-trial Conference, according to the Norfolk District Attorney’s Office. Saint-Jean also entered a plea of not guilty at his arraignment, was ordered held on $10,000 cash bail, and is due to return Feb. 14, according to the NDAO.
