Motorcycle rider seriously injured in Saturday morning crash in Warwick
A motorcycle operator has been critically injured after a single vehicle crash Saturday morning.
A call came in at 4:59 a.m. for a motorcycle crash near the Cumberland Farms on 1556 Post Road and the exit ramp for Route 37.
Upon arrival, officers encountered a motorcycle that had crashed into a highway fixture.
The victim was transported to Rhode Island Hospital in critical condition.
Police believe that alcohol may have been a factor in the crash due to the initial investigation and the injuries sustained by the victim.
Anyone with information related to the crash is asked to contact the Warwick Police Department Traffic Division at (401) 468-4243 and ask for Sgt. John Curley.
