Motorcycle rider injured, SUV driver cited, after south end Fall River crash
A Fall River crash has led to one person being injured and another cited.
According to Det. Sergeant Moses Pereira, at approximately 9:30 p.m. on Friday, units responded to the area of Aetna Street and Rhode Island Avenue in response to a report of a collision between a motor vehicle and a motorcycle.
Upon arrival, officers spoke with both operators. The operator of a GMC Terrain was exiting Aetna Street in violation of a one way and attempting to cross Rhode Island Avenue. As this occurred, the Kawasaki motorcycle, which was operating south on Rhode Island Avenue, was unable to avoid impact and struck the driver’s side door of the GMC.
The motorcycle operator was transported to Saint Anne’s Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
The operator of the GMC did not seek medical attention and was issued a citation for the one-way violation and failure to yield.
Both vehicles were towed from the scene.
