Mother, stepfather, grandmother of 6 Massachusetts siblings that went missing facing several charges

Three family members of 6 Massachusetts siblings that went missing last week are facing several charges.

According to Dave Procopio of Massachusetts State Police, on May 10, the Haverhill Police Department responded to a report of child abuse. The victim indicated that her mother and stepfather abused her and her seven siblings. The location of the six youngest children were unknown early Saturday. The parents and other family had been uncooperative with attempts to locate the children.

In an update at approximately 7:30 p.m. Saturday, Procopio stated that all 6 children were located by Haverhill Police and were placed in the custody of the Department of Children and Families.

According to the Essex County District Attorney’s Office, Jameaka Conway, 37, of Haverhill, (mother) is charged with eight counts: A&B with a dangerous weapon on a child under 14 (5 counts); intimidation of a witness (1 count); A&B (1 count); threat to commit a crime (1 count). She is set for a dangerousness hearing Tuesday in Haverhill District Court.

Cypher Great, 37, of Haverhill, (described as stepfather) is charged with five counts: threat to commit a crime (1 count) and A&B with a dangerous weapon on a child under 14 (4 counts). He is set for a dangerousness hearing Tuesday in Haverhill District Court.

Deborah Conway, 58, of Dorchester (Jameaka’s mother) is charged with three counts: intimidation of a police officer (1 count) and kidnapping and endangering a minor by a relative (2 counts). She is set for a dangerousness hearing in Haverhill District Court on May 22.
