Mother looking to get word out concerning bullying at Fall River middle school

A mother wants the public to know what happened to her daughter after several incidents of bullying occurred at a Fall River middle school.

Brittany contacted Fall River Reporter stating that Argosy Collegiate Charter Middle School has done nothing concerning bullying of her daughter that led to a physical altercation where her and her daughter were assaulted.

“The school in return played the victim and put a no trespassing order on me. I’ve called the state and other resources and met with an attorney. They are so concerned with ruining their perfect image of a school that they’ve brushed off the bullying complaints and now play the victim. Only now that they know who’s involved did they implement an officer on school grounds after two handfuls of complaints and my daughter being touched.”

After several alleged incidents in October and November, Brittany went on to say that her daughter is a good student and now has to leave the school for her safety.

“My daughter is on the Dean’s list with all A’s except 2 B’s yet she’s the one who suffers the consequences and is leaving the school. Apparently, that’s the only option to ensure her safety. Literally every morning that she walks into school it’s something. They pace back and forth past my car not blinking an eye at her, yelling out you’re a dirty a** b**** from the school yard, walking by her and calling her a b****, throwing food at her at lunch while telling her she’s gonna be dead and she’s going to get jumped. It’s disturbing already.”

Brittany wants the school to recognize that how they have handled the bullying issue is wrong.

“I ultimately want them to see what they did. How they’ve handled everything is just wrong and they are not what they portray themselves to be.”

Fall River Reporter contacted Principal Monica Filgo concerning the allegations and we received a no comment from Founder & Executive Director Kristen Pavao. We were referred to the school’s lawyer for future inquires.

I heard and saw these complaints get swept under the rug continuously with this school. Walk away. Far away. Actually Run! They are desperate to fill seats and honestly care more about their reputation than the students, family and staff.

Sue the school. There are laws against this. I would also call the police

Oh, you mean the mother who got a no trespass order because she laid hands on a child at the school in the parking lot? After the kid was causing issues? That’s your main source for the article. Coooool cool cool.
Cool. Maybe reach out to the school for clarification so it’s actual journalistic integrity not just Karen hit pieces.
