Adam Montgomery who was found guilty in February for murdering missing daughter and former Massachusetts resident Harmony Montgomery was sentenced to New Hampshire State Prison Thursday.

Montgomery was sentenced 56 years to life in prison. He appeared to show no remorse and with his current weapons charges will likely remain incarcerated until death.

New Hampshire Attorney General John Formella had previously stated that Montgomery was charged with second degree murder for allegedly repeatedly striking 5-year-old Harmony in the head with a closed fist causing her death around December 7, 2019. He then put a blanket over her before later disposing of her body. Montgomery was also charged for falsifying physical evidence and abuse of corpse for moving and/or disposing of Harmony’s body. Montgomery was also charged with tampering with witness or informants for allegedly causing former partner Kayla Montgomery to lie.

Manchester Police Chief Allen Aldenberg, Attorney General John M. Formella, and U.S. Marshal Enoch Willard stated in August of 2022 that they had multiple sources of investigative information including new biological evidence that Harmony was murdered in Manchester in early December of 2019.

Adam was previously arrested on January 4, 2022, in Manchester and was indicted on one charge of felony second-degree assault arising from 2019 conduct where he reportedly struck then 5-year-old Harmony Montgomery in the face after having bathroom accidents in the car. He then put a blanket over her before later disposing of her body. Montgomery was also charged at the time with one misdemeanor charge of interference with custody, and two misdemeanor charges of endangering the welfare of a child pertaining to Harmony Montgomery.

The investigation had narrowed the window of Harmony’s disappearance to approximately November 28–December 10, 2019. According to information learned by police, Adam and Kayla Montgomery, together with their two common children and Adam’s daughter Harmony, were evicted from Gilford Street in Manchester on November 27, 2019. Multiple individuals reported seeing Harmony with Adam and Kayla in the following days; however, by approximately December 6–10, 2019, Adam and Kayla apparently had only their two common children, and Harmony was no longer with them.

The information led police to believe that it was sometime during this window of approximately November 28–December 10, 2019, that Harmony Montgomery disappeared.

As previously stated by officials, Harmony once attended school in Massachusetts.

Montgomery is currently serving up to 60 years in prison on weapons charges unrelated to his daughter’s death.

Harmony’s body has not yet been located.

Why,oh why are some people so diabolically evi?
if they didn’t want this poor child why didn’t they just give her up for adoption ?
    It’s altogether disgusting!
And where the hell was the state in this and the Social Workers?
I think this poor, poor child never had a chance.
I think the mother and stepmom should go to prison, too, for neglect and even complicity
in her brutal murder and physically torture this fiend until he gives the location of this child’s
    body, period.
