St. George, Utah/Massachusetts — A girl that was reported missing and endangered in Massachusetts has been located in Utah and a man has been arrested concerning her disappearance.

According to KSL News in Utah, 35-year-old Tevon Jarell Cullors-Tillman was arrested Wednesday by Utah Highway Patrol for investigation of human trafficking for labor, drug possession with intent to distribute, child endangerment, harboring a runaway, drug possession, contributing to the delinquency of a minor and having an open container of alcohol in his car.

Troopers pulled over a vehicle on I-15 in Washington County for speeding and making an improper lane change when they smelled the odor of marijuana and saw an open container of alcohol in the car. Troopers then discovered that a teen passenger had given a false name and birthdate. Troopers then determined that she was a missing/endangered child out of Massachusetts.

Cullors-Tillman met the girl online and had purchased a bus ticket for her from Massachusetts to Denver. Cullors-Tillman then drove to Denver and picked her up in a rental car. KSL stated that the teen felt completely dependent on Cullors-Tillman and was concerned that he would harm her or her family.

The girl stated to police that the two were headed to California after initially planning to go to Las Vegas.

The victim also explained to authorities that she had already been subject to previous prostitution and would be further involved in prostitution once arriving to Las Vegas.

Investigators were still looking into whether the girl had engaged in prostitution while she had been with Cullors-Tillman. She was placed in state custody as police worked to reunite her with her family.
