Milling, paving, and road construction taking place the week on June 4th in Fall River
Several road projects will be taking place in the coming days in the City of Fall River.
Starting this week, Liberty will begin final road restoration work from their 2022 main replacement activities.
Ferreira Corporation is working at the following locations this week.
According to Liberty Utilities, starting on Sunday night, June 4th between the hours of 7pm and 5am and continuing through Thursday, June 8th, a Ferreira Corporation crew will be doing night work on North Main Street in the area of Crescent Street and Cove Street. This work is necessary because of the ongoing MA DOT work occurring in the area of Weaver Street resulting in heavy traffic trying to access and exit that neighborhood during the day at North Main & Cove Streets. The night work will help to ease that daytime congestion and make better access for the businesses, health care providers and residents at the Troy City Mill who are already inconvenienced by the bridge work on Weaver Street. There is an electronic signboard on North Main Street just south of the off ramp of Route 79 at Weaver Street notifying the public of the night work.
Paving days will be decided at the beginning of this week due to chance of scattered showers at the middle to end of this week.
