Middletown Police conclude investigation into the death of John Corbett
MIDDLETOWN, R.I. – The Middletown Police Department has concluded their investigation into the death of a man found in town.
According to police, on March 14, at approximately 11:30 a.m., the Middletown Police Department responded to 916 West Main Road to check on John Corbett. The response was a result of friends of the resident requesting a well-being check as the resident had not been seen or heard from in a few days.
Once on scene, Officers made entry into the residence and located the body of Corbett.
The Middletown Police Department Detective Unit in conjunction with the State’s Medical Examiners Office began a comprehensive investigation into the cause of Corbett’s death.
Based on the Middletown Police investigation, police stated today that it has been determined that the cause of death was accidental, and no foul play is suspected.
Corbett was a well-known photographer in the area who also has connections to Newport.
