MBTA Transit Police: Massachusetts operator ends up driving on train tracks, delaying service
A Massachusetts driver ended up on train tracks Friday afternoon which caused trains to be disrupted.
According to the Massachusetts Bay Transportation Authority Transit Police, at 5:00 p.m., a 51-year-old Weymouth man stated that he missed his turned and ended up on the MBTA commuter rail tracks in the vicinity of Commercial Street in Braintree.
There was reported damage to a T signal box and a tire on the vehicle.
The vehicle was towed from the scene.
No injuries were reported.
Service was delayed due to the incident according to the MBTA Police.
