Mayor Coogan announces Fall River shelters opening due to upcoming cold weather

(Fall River, MA, January 16, 2020)- The First Step Inn will be open due to the expected cold
weather on the following dates:

Thursday, January 16, 2020
Friday, January 17, 2020
Monday January 20, 2020
Tuesday, January 21, 2020
Wednesday, January 22, 2020

Warming Center- First Step Inn
Will operate 8:00am-4:00pm.

First Step Inn
First Step Inn regular shelter beds are at capacity.
There are four (4) emergency beds available.
Check-in starts at 4:00pm and ends at 5:45pm.

Overflow Shelter
Seventeen (17) out of twenty-two (22) beds are taken.
Five (5) beds are available.
One (1) emergency bed is available.
Check-in starts at 4:30pm.
