Fall River man killed in pedestrian crash Wednesday

A Fall River man was killed Wednesday night in a pedestrian crash.

According to Gregg Miliote of the Bristol County District Attorney’s Office, the preliminary investigation has revealed the victim, a pedestrian, was struck in the area of 225 President Avenue last night. The driver, a 67-year-old Fall River man, immediately stopped and was interviewed by police. The vehicle was a Ford Econoline van.

Jason Dolan, 46, of Fall River, was rushed to Charlton Memorial Hospital, where he was pronounced deceased.

Accident reconstruction is ongoing as is the entire investigation, according to Miliote.

No charges have been filed at this point.
