Mayflower II, the historic reproduction of the ship that brought the Pilgrims to the shores of historic Patuxet in 1620, has begun her journey back to the State Pier in Plymouth, Massachusetts.

According to Plimoth Patuxet Museums, the ship will depart Mystic Seaport Museum on April 11 where it has been undergoing routine maintenance during the winter months and is expected to pass through the Cape Cod Canal on April 13 at approximately 2:00 p.m. and arrive in Plymouth Harbor on April 13 at approximately 5:00 p.m.

Accompanied by a crew from Plimoth Patuxet’s Maritime Preservation and Operations group, the historic ship will be towed by the tugboat Jaguar, operated by Mitchell Towing in Fairhaven, Massachusetts.

All dates and times are subject to change based on the tide, weather conditions, and other factors that may impact the safety of the ship and crew.
