Massachusetts woman plans on staying put, has simple request, after hitting $1 million State Lottery prize

Sometimes it is the simple things that can make us happy and that appears to be the case for a Massachusetts woman after hitting it big on a State Lottery scratch ticket.
According to the Massachusetts State Lottery, Tawanda Brown of Springfield is the winner of a $1 million prize in the Massachusetts State Lottery’s “$2,000,000 Diamond Cashword” $10 instant ticket game.
She chose the cash option on her prize and received a one-time payment of $650,000 (before taxes). Brown plans on putting the winnings towards a new washer and dryer as well as some home repairs.
She purchased her winning ticket at Pride, 1110 Wilbraham Rd. in Springfield. The store will receive a $10,000 bonus for its sale of this ticket.
$2,000,000 Diamond Cashword has four $2,000,000 and eight $1,000,000 prizes remaining.
