Community members coming together to help beautify Fall River through multiple city cleanups

With the weather getting warmer, more cleanups have been taking place in Fall River to help beautify the city.
According to Fall River’s Community Development Agency’s Community Revitalization Projects Program Fellow, Gloria Saddler, Flint neighbors in partnership with the city of Fall River and Fall River Police, Neighborhood Engagement and Enforcement Team (NEET) and Love Your Block did a “pop up” clean up on Alden Street on Saturday.
The Fall River Police Department noted that Officers Bailey and Nelson were proud to roll up their sleeves and join the Flint Neighborhood Association for the community cleanup.
“From picking up trash to helping beautify the neighborhood, it was all about working together to make our streets cleaner, safer, and more welcoming for everyone. A huge thank you to all the volunteers who came out and showed their love for the community. Teamwork like this is what makes the community strong!”
Also, on Sunday afternoon, despite the rain, a cleanup organized by Christopher’s Restaurant was taking place on the Alfred Lima Quequechan Rail Trail with help from DCM.
A spring citywide cleanup has also been scheduled for Saturday, May 3rd from 9am-12pm.
The meeting place is City Hall Plaza. Tools and equipment will be provided and a free lunch for those who register. Start assembling your team! Use the link to register as an individual or group at: https://tinyurl.com/uw4k2zpr
