Massachusetts woman has friend to thank after hitting $1 million Powerball prize
DORCHESTER, MA (September 20, 2023) – A Massachusetts woman has her friend to thank for hitting big money on a lottery game.
According to the Massachusetts State Lottery, Tiffany Brown is the winner of a $1 million Powerball prize after the first five numbers on her Quic Pic ticket matched those selected in the game’s Monday, September 18 drawing that featured a $638 million jackpot.
Brown who is from of Dorchester, claimed her $1 million prize (before taxes) Wednesday, September 20 at the Massachusetts State Lottery’s Dorchester headquarters.
Her winning ticket was purchased at Supreme Liquors located at 506 Geneva Ave. in Dorchester. She said that a friend had encouraged her to play because of the large jackpot. The store receives a $10,000 bonus for its sale of this ticket.
