Massachusetts woman facing charges after crash involving ambulance injured 5 on Route 140, including 8-year-old

A Massachusetts woman is facing charges after a crash that injured several people.

According to police, on February 22nd, just before 6:45 p.m., Foxborough Police and Fire responded to a motor vehicle crash at 215 Main Street (Route 140).

A subsequent investigation determined that a vehicle being operated by 40-year-old Jenna Wilson from Foxborough was traveling southbound on Main Street and crossed into the northbound lane striking an ambulance head-on.

The ambulance was carrying a patient, with two ambulance personnel on board.

Wilson’s vehicle had a juvenile passenger in the vehicle.

As a result of the motor vehicle crash, all five passengers were transported to the hospital.

According to the Foxborough Fire Department, the first patient was a 77-year-old male who was on the stretcher in the rear of the ambulance being brought back to their home from a rehabilitation facility. He was transported to Rhode Island Hospital for evaluation.

The second patient was a male in his 20s who was the attendant of the ambulance. This patient was conscious and alert and transported to Sturdy Memorial Hospital for evaluation.

The third patient was Wilson who was conscious and alert and transported to Sturdy Memorial Hospital for evaluation.

The fourth patient was an approximately 25-year-old female, who was an EMT and the driver of the Ambulance. She was ambulatory and was actively attending to the patients before the fire department arrived.

The fifth patient was an 8-year-old female sitting in the SUV’s back seat. This patient received life-threatening traumatic injuries, and Boston MedFlight was requested immediately. Foxborough Paramedics treated her and, due to the extent of the injuries, transported her via ground to Sturdy Memorial Hospital immediately. The patient was treated at Sturdy, stabilized, and subsequently transferred to Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston via Boston MedFlight.

Through this investigation, an arrest warrant was issued for Wilson, and she was placed into custody on February 29th at 10:00 p.m.

Wilson was arraigned at Wrentham District Court on March 1st on the charges of OUI-liquor or .08% & Serious Injury & Negligent, Child Endangerment While OUI, Negligent Operation of Motor Vehicle, Marked Lanes Violation, and Reckless Endangerment to Child.
