Massachusetts woman dies in Portsmouth car crash
Portsmouth Police are investigating a deadly morning crash.
At approximately 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, Portsmouth Police responded to the intersection of East Main Road at McCorrie Lane for the report of a motor vehicle accident with injuries. Upon arrival, Officers observed two vehicles in the roadway. A vehicle driven by a 79 year old Plymouth woman was traveling southbound on East Main Road when her vehicle and a vehicle driven by a 58 year old Portsmouth woman collided.
All parties involved were taken to a nearby hospital due to the accident. The Plymouth woman later succumbed to her injuries. Traffic on East Main Road was diverted for over an hour. The accident is being investigated by Portsmouth Police.
