Bristol County District Attorney announces elder abuse hotline, celebration of seniors event

Bristol County District Attorney Thomas Quinn, announced Friday in a press conference an initiative to help keep seniors safe.

A campaign was announced by Quinn where a statewide hotline is in place concerning scams, financial abuse or even physical abuse against seniors. The 24 hour 7 days a week hotline is 1-800-922-2275. The hotline will be advertised on buses throughout the area.

Quinn has also announced a “Celebration of Seniors”. The free event will be held at Whites of Westport on June 15th from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. There will be a  breakfast, resource fair, and speakers discussing topics important to elders.
