Massachusetts surpasses 2,000 deaths as 221 new fatalities reported, more cases with less testing
Massachusetts has seen 1,745 more positive cases in the last 24 hours. An increase from the previous 24 hour period.
The Massachusetts Department of Health statistics show a rise in total cases to 42,944 with 221 more reported dead for a total of 2,182.
Massachusetts had seen 1,556 more positive cases in the previous 24 hour period.
5,090 tests were done, almost 900 less than yesterday, for a total of 180,462.

According to the CDC, as of April 21st, the total amount of cases in the country is 802,583 with 44,575 dead. Total cases includes 3,981 probable cases and total deaths includes 5,862 probable deaths.
