A serious crash claimed at least one life this morning.

According to Dave Procopio of Massachusetts State Police, at approximately 4:20 a.m., Massachusetts State Troopers from several Troop H barracks responded to a rollover crash on Route 95 northbound at the University Avenue exit in Dedham that resulted in a fatality. The passenger was transported to a nearby hospital where he was pronounced deceased. The driver was also transported. No update on his condition is available at this time. No further information about the victims is being released at this time.

The facts and circumstances of the crash, including what caused the vehicle to go off the road, remain under investigation by patrols and detectives from Troop H of the Massachusetts State Police, the State Police Collision Analysis and Reconstruction Section, and the State Police Crime Scene Services Section. Troopers were assisted at the scene by Westwood Firefighters.
