Massachusetts State Police release name of victim in fatal Route 290 ramp crash
A Massachusetts man lost his life after a Saturday evening crash.
According to Massachusetts State Police, at approximately 8:23 p.m., a single vehicle crash on exit 26B ramp from route 290 west resulted in the death of the driver.
Preliminary investigation indicates that Andrew St. Denis a 26-year-old Stow man, driving a 2009 Honda Accord, lost control of the vehicle on the ramp and drove into the infield of the ramp where he struck a tree. St. Denis was determined deceased at the scene.
The 26B ramp from route 290 west was closed for approximately three hours.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation with assistance from members of the State Police Collision Analysis and Reconstruction Section and Crime Scene Services Section.
Troopers were assisted on scene by MassDOT, Shrewsbury Fire, Worcester EMS and the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner.
